About the ACT (Annual Community Telethon)
Together, we can help Kitimat be a strong and resilient place to live, work and play.
We are the Kitimat Community Foundation and as a Foundation we have the opportunity to serve and enhance our community through connecting donors to community needs and opportunities. Community Foundations can be set up to serve the entire spectrum of community interests and needs.
The Annual Community Telethon (ACT – formerly Aluminum City Telethon) has supported our community since 1979 and has granted thousands of dollars to support local organizations and programs.
The ACT continues each year in October as the main fundraising source for the Kitimat Community Foundation, which enables continued support of immediate needs in the community while building long-term stability funds for the future.
